Erin Bobo, B.S., L.M.T.

Erin Bobo, B.S., L.M.T. is an Expert Myofascial Release Therapist with over 17 years of experience in the healing arts. Erin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lynchburg College but detoured from the plan to go to Vet School after having a profound healing experience from her Chronic Back pain with the help of Myofascial Release. This experience led her to discover her gift with Therapeutic Body work. She has had continuous training by MFR founder, John Barnes, P.T. since 1998 completing and repeating all the required courses to be an Expert therapist. Erin continues to study with John Barnes and other therapists in order to always maintain growth and development of her craft.

Erin has had a thriving private practice since 1998 assisting two-legged and four-legged clients. Licensed as a Massage Therapist and Equine Sports Massage Therapist, Erin established her practice in Atlanta Georgia focusing initially on horses and their riders. In 2003, Erin opened her practice in PA to share her gifts with the people of the Chester County and surrounding communities. In 2008, Erin co-founded Equine-Librium through which she energizes her passion for providing therapeutic bodywork for horses.

Erin primarily utilizes Myofascial Release and Cranial Sacral therapy in her sessions with people in order to address many musculoskeletal and fascial conditions. She focuses on compassionate guidance into deeper body awareness to achieve long-lasting pain relief and wellness. Her healing approach incorporates the goal of releasing pain patterns by creating an environment that offers the opportunity to develop a deeper relationship and understanding of what the body needs. She helps develop a sense of empowerment in the clients’ ability to take their healing into their own hands by being truly present in their healing process.

Erin is passionate about treating each client as a unique individual with a unique experience verses a symptom that needs to be ``fixed``.

An effective and passionate teacher on the subject of wellness, Erin offers insightful experiential educational opportunities for others through their events and workshops. Since one of her foundational beliefs is that movement and exercise have an important role in healing, Erin also teaches movement therapy by offering Coordination  Pattern Training, NIA as other vehicles for clients to further their quest for body awareness and whole-body health.

Certified in 2006 in Nia Erin guides her NIA classes through an expressive movement practice that embraces movement as medicine when moving the “body’s way”, encompassing the martial arts, the healing arts and the dance arts.

Erin’s therapeutic approach has helped hundreds of clients suffering from conditions such as back pain, shoulder injuries, headaches, TMJ dysfunction, migraines, tinitis, pelvic pain/dysfunction, frozen shoulder and plantar fascitis as well as conditions resulting from car accidents, sports injuries, Lyme’s disease, poor posture and chronic pain conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and fascial pain syndrome.

Healing through her own experience with chronic pain through the technique of MFR and growing and learning from many of life’s “big transformations” has provided the greatest tools in her “tool box” allowing her to empower, educate and empathize with each client that allows her the opportunity to assist them in their healing process.

Personal Mission Statement

I am looking for clients that are willing to access their own inner wisdom as well as my gifts and knowledge in order to discover what is needed to achieve their goals, regardless of whether their goal is recovering from injury, healing from chronic pain or just wanting to maintain a healthy body and mind.

It is my intention to work with my client as a team and create a safe place for healing. It is my intention to listen to you and your body. The most important lesson I have learned over the years has been to remember that the greatest wisdom lies within the body.

It is extremely important to get our “minds” out of the way of what we think we know and what we think needs to be done in order to hear the wisdom of the body and allow it to lead us to what needs our focus and energy.

Through years of experience I have come to recognize the importance of the therapist not taking on the role of the one who is expected to “fix” a problem. Instead, it is my role to be a guide and to assist and empower my clients to play just as much of an active role as I do myself in each session.

My unique journey has transformed me into the therapist I am today. It may seem ironic, but I am grateful for the personal pain that led me to this work and I am grateful that my initial clients/teachers were horses. These wise beings encouraged me to “feel” verses talk and think about what to do and helped me to trust my intuition and sense of touch. This mentoring felt like a natural way to begin to connect with my gift and served as a wonderful foundation for my formal education, opening the doorway for the opportunity to assist you.
